Email questions, requests, and suggestions to wordcruncher@byu.edu.
BYU faculty and staff services: We can come to your office, demonstrate and install WordCruncher, answer questions, discuss your projects, and help you and your students as needed.
The Open Book menu shows libraries which are organized into bookshelves. You'll see several libraries when you open the menu, including the WordCruncher Library and the WordCruncher User Library. Your own personal library is the WordCruncher User Library. Other libraries contain WordCruncher content that is available for download in the bookstore, so you won't be able to add or remove personal texts here.
Make sure you've clicked on the WordCruncher User Library, your own personal library. You can add bookshelves, reorder them, and manage your texts.
To add a bookshelf to the user library, right-click the spot you would like to add it and select Add Bookshelf …
. Name your bookshelf and click OK
. If you ever need to rename the bookshelf, you can right-click > Properties …
. You can also remove bookshelves in that same menu by going to right-click > Remove…
.
When you have several bookshelves, you can reorder them with the arrows on the left side of the Open Book menu. To move a bookshelf to the top of the list, click the up
arrow until it appears at the top.
To move books from one bookshelf to another, right-click the book > Move to a New Folder
.
